Jack Morris Career (1977-1994):

254-186 W-L, 3.90 ERA, 3,824 IP, 2,478 SO, 1.296 WHIP
- 5x All-Star
- 4x World Series Champion
- 1991 World Series MVP
Over his 18-year career, the majority being with the Detroit Tigers, Jack Morris eleven times Morris threw over 200 innings in a season. Morris won 20 or more games three times five times and finished top-5 in the Cy Young voting. However, he’s remembered for his Playoff pitching.
Morris was blessed to appear and win four World Series, the Detroit Tigers in 1984, the Minnesota Twins in 1991, and the Toronto Blue Jays in 1992-1993. 1984 Morris went 3-0, a 1.80 ERA, 0.880 WHIP in 25 Innings Pitched. Then in 1991, with the Twins, not only did he go 4-0 during that postseason run, but in Game 7 of the series, he pitched ten shutout innings as he and the Twins would clinch the World Series, and he’d be named the World Series MVP.

It would take until 2018 from the Veterans Committee for Jack Morris to be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Jack Morris was the first pitcher to be enshrined that pitched all of his games in the American League following the DH being introduced and had only one career at-bat.
